I finished samurai champloo last night. I thought it was fantastic. |

which is good. the units I did were fun but i'm glad it's coming to a natural end. time to move on and that. but end of term also means getting assessments in. i'm looking forward to the holidays so I can stay in bed for a week, uninterrupted. well maybe not a week, but I want to do nothing for a change. |
she isn't my favourite dollface, (that is a tie between ciara n. and lisa c.) but she's fantastic here

prada did it and then karl recently. there was a mod moment not so long ago, or maybe it never really went away. i'm not sure. I thought the cycle would have been longer, not that i'm really complaining.. earlier on I had been contemplating all sorts of chops but i'm now inclined to hang on to my one length lengths.
every couple of days I fantasise about getting a louise brooks cut. one of these days.. |

SBS just showed it. i really liked that! at first i was all like, the guy's a bastard who strings someone along with no intention of leaving his wife for her, why can't she just notice that other guy? and i thought, this'll be a feel good movie, and i don't mind, audrey's adorable. then it turns out she's insane and making it all up. it turned out that the man was a victim. the way they did it was clever, i thought. |

the sky was still a bit strange and brown due to the bushfires. a friend was telling me that she is to star in a short movie (indie one i presume) and.. that i might be able to have a hand in it! anyway, it got me thinking, making a movie would be bloody fun. only thing is, i havent got ready access to a decent camera. if the film industry weren't so closed off or miniscule here i would have a go. but as it is there's no way i'd have the time or patience to seriously do that kinda thing. i would really like to adapt some of my favourite books, though.

today was fairly hot. I saw finding neverland today, it was quite touching although it was more about characterisation than plot. johnny depp did a decent job. it could be oscar worthy, i dunno.

my putain de machine is giving me trouble and I won't be able to sleep until it's sorted. i'm also close to broke at the moment, which means any kind of upgrading is out of the question.

yeah they're a necessary evil, but as someone who has to rely on buses to get around it really limits your options. i need to go to the library too, but those librarians LOVE to draw out the holidays as long as possible. it's times like these where a good library of passive entertainment would come in handy.
thankfully the weather has been kind lately. hell, it's been cool even at times.

i did go grocery shopping though. and i got an apple turnover too.
